The invention relates to printing and improves image quality by eliminating the formation of a color contour. For reproduction of gray color, print with its minimum density only with black printing ink. The aim of the invention is to improve the quality of reproductions by eliminating} the formation of a color contour. The solid C-M-Y curve is slightly raised in a certain range from small to medium densities, and the black ink K is slightly reduced in the same range (in Fig. 2, this range is shown on an enlarged scale). Such a course of the curves makes it possible to avoid the appearance of an outline, i.e. color contour, when moving from pure gray tones to slightly colored tones with 10050- f. j completely not motley construction. The increase in color inks ranges from O to 25% and depends on the nature of the original and the method of printing.
